SS Robin in the news

SS Robin

SS Robin continues to celebrate the success of her landmark Lowestoft lift onto her new pontoon.  Media attention is turning to the historic ship following her historic day on 28th June.

Captain Simon Waite of National Historic Ships concurs
"What a fantastic day! What a team it was of man and machinery, well done for leading such a remarkable event"

Monday’s crane lift marked the penultimate milestone in a two-year restoration. Two years to the day since supporters saw SS Robin pass through the Thames Barrier and out onto the open sea, Robin was proudly lifted onto her new pontoon deck.

Excitement surrounding the historic ship continues as Kampfner Ltd, the heritage consultants behind the SS Robin project, move into the next phase of development.
