Calling all photographers out there, of all ages - get snapping!

Following on from its first successful year in 2010, National Historic Ships is running a photography competition again this year. It's a great photography competition run in partnership with Classic Boat magazine and entries are encouraged from anyone with an interest in maritime heritage.

You can enter as a historic vessel owner or primary/secondary school. The overall competition winner will receive a monetary prize of £1,000 to be spent on a theme or activity involving a vessel from the National Register of Historic Vessels.

There are other prizes to be won and successful school entrants will be awarded latest model digital cameras.  All short-listed entrants will be invited to an awards ceremony onboard HMS Belfast.

The competition runs from 01 April, 2011 - 31 August, 2011 so no excuses, dig out your best pictures or visit a historic ship and get involved! Good Luck.
